The Nintendo Switch-exclusive game Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order (MUA3) has such a titanic number of playable characters, it’d make The Living Tribunal’s head spin. From the Marvel Universe’s most iconic vigilantes and villains to a handful of lesser-known vigilantes, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 surely has plenty of playable superheroes to sate any comic book or Marvel movie fan’s hunger.

What other characters are planned for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order?

 

More characters are planned for MUA3’s roster via paid DLC. There are three DLC packs planned for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order as part of a $20 USD “Expansion Pass.” It’s important to note that these packs will not be sold separately and must be bought as part of the $20 “Expansion Pass.”

The first is DLC Pack 1 – Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire, which includes Blade, Moon Knight, Punisher, and Morbius. This arrived on September 30th, 2019.

The second is DLC Pack 2 – X-Men: Rise of the Phoenix, which includes Phoenix, Gambit, Ice Man, and Cable. This arrived on December 23rd, 2019.

The third is DLC Pack 3 – Shadow of Doom, which will feature Fantastic Four characters; however, the exact line-up is not confirmed. This DLC pack will arrive sometime in Spring 2020.

 

Are there any cut characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order?

 

Cut characters? It’s hard to say. Four additional characters were discovered in the game’s files via a datamine, but it isn’t known if these characters were cut from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 entirely for whatever reason or if they’ll possibly be added in to the game through a free update or paid DLC. In late December 2019/early January 2020, three more characters were also found in another datamine. These characters cannot be played at the moment and it isn’t known if they ever will be playable.
