Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are still nearly a year away, but the hype is real. When do Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet release?
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be available on November 18th, 2022.
Are there any pre-order bonuses for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Adventure Set (Nintendo eShop only, available until February 28th, 2023): Trainers who purchase and download Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet via the Nintendo eShop will get a serial code for the Adventure Set. This set includes the following items to help kickstart your journey across the Paldea region: 10 Potions, 5 Full Heals, 3 Revives, 3 Ethers, 1 Rare Candy, and 1 Nugget.
Pre-ordering Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from My Nintendo Store UK will get you a bonus steelbook.
Healing Set (Amazon): Those who purchase their copies of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet from Amazon will receive a download code for an in-game exclusive Healing Set that includes the following items: ten Potions, ten Antidotes, and three Revives.
In-game backpack item (Pokémon Center US, Canada, UK, and Amazon Japan, pre-order by November 11th, 2022): Pre-order Pokémon Scarlet or Violet (or both) at Pokémon Center (or Amazon Japan) and you’ll get a unique in-game accessory: a backpack your character can wear during your adventure in the game! According to Pokémon Center, “[a]dditional information about the backpack design will be revealed at a later date. Please note that the backpack is a character customization accessory and will not have any effect on gameplay. The digital gift is only available with preorders (ends November 11, 2022). The digital code along with redemption instructions will be sent to the email address associated with the purchase by November 18, 2022.”
Is there an early purchase Pokémon via Mystery Gift offer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
During the August 3rd Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company announced that those who purchase the game early will receive a special in-game Pikachu that knows the move Fly and whose Tera Type is Flying.
Players will be able to get their Pikachu by choosing “Get” through the “Internet” from the Mystery Gift feature in their game up until Tuesday, February 28th, 2023.
According to the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet site, it “takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of play time before you can access the Mystery Gift feature[.]” So don’t wait until the last minute to add this special Terstalized Pikachu to your team.
Is there an eShop demo for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
No demo is currently available for Scarlet or Violet.
Interestingly, no demos have been released for mainline Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch despite there being some notable downloadable previews for 3DS titles in the series. With this being the first, true open world Pokémon game, perhaps this’ll be the one?
Is there new Pokémon hardware for the Pokémon and Pokémon Violet launch?
Yes! Nintendo announced that the OLED Model Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Limited Edition will release on November 4th, 2022, over two weeks before the actual games release.
At the moment, the only pre-order available is through Amazon UK.

Also worth noting is that there is a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Double-Pack that includes a SteelBook, which is currently only available for pre-order through Amazon France. We might not be getting a SteelBook here (as far as we know), but at least this option is available to ship to the US!
Also available for Pokémon Trainers in Europe, select retailers also have an exclusive pre-order bonus: a statue featuring Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
