With a little over a month to go before its release, Nintendo has announced that Splatoon Raiders will be getting its own Direct presentation on June 30th, 2026. We’re not sure how long it will be or what it will cover, but seeing as how it will be the last information dump before fans get their hands on the game, it’s probably going to cover every aspect of Raiders in-depth.

In the lead up to both the Direct and Raiders’ launch, Nintendo will also be sharing daily Splatoon comics through the Nintendo Today app. Said to flesh out the storyline between Splatoon 3 and Raiders, I guess this spin-off has more lore importance than fans previously thought. It’s certainly more than I expected, which was mainly a new game to hold over until Nintendo figures out how it wants to develop Splatoon 4.

If you’re still splatting others in Splatoon 3, a new Splatfest will be held in July to celebrate Splatoon Raiders. Nintendo didn’t give a date for that, but I would imagine it will happen either the weekend before or weekend of Raiders’ release. I’m struggling to figure out what the three teams would be, but seeing as how Raiders doesn’t have competitive multiplayer, it’s pretty cool that Nintendo is supporting its older game in conjunction with the new one.

Splatoon Raiders will be hitting Switch 2 on July 23rd, 2026. You can currently pre-order the physical version for $50.
