The month of March has begun, and that means MAR10 Day is just around the corner! Every year on the tenth of March, Nintendo celebrates everyone’s favorite mustachioed plumber with a special day in his honor. This year may be extra special for fans of the Mushroom Kingdom though, as leaks may be teasing some Mario-centric news for upcoming titles.

Where does the Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion rumor come from?

The source of all of this comes from a tweet by Pyoro in response to someone hoping for news on the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake that was announced last September. They then followed up with a .GIF of Luigi from Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon with the caption “Also this one.” This suggests that we may also get some news on Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, the remaster which was announced last June, and much like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, did not receive a final release date at the time.

As with most leaks, it’s always important to take everything with a grain of salt; that being said, Pyoro has an overall very consistent track record in recent times, so it’s very possible that these hints are based in reality. Neither of these titles has an official release date as of now, so it is not at all unlikely that at the very least we hear some more about them and get official news soon.
