Twenty years later, the most storied Mario RPG of all time is coming back – Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is being remade for the Nintendo Switch. Now let me scream: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

The remake features fully updated graphics with new lighting and detail more akin to recent Paper Mario games, along with faithfully recreated environments and settings. You can see the full slice of the game in the trailer: the monochrome rainbows of Bogley Woods, the hyped crowds of Glitzville, the utter hilarity of the Bowser segments, even a stinger about Peach and TEC. We’ll have to see what additions and tweaks are made to the final product!

The Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake comes out in 2024.
