Nintendo’s E3 2021 Direct this morning was absolutely chock-full of incredible announcements, and during the very last, The Legend of Zelda-centric segment we got a look at the first wave of DLC for last year’s Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Wave 1: Pulse of the Ancients brings a few things to the title: a brand new playable character, the Battle-Tested Guardian, and two new weapons, one for Link, and one for Zelda. Link’s new weapon is the flail, with a decidedly ancient Shiekah-tech look, and Zelda’s new weapon is none other than the Master Cycle from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s DLC.
Other new content with the new wave of DLC includes a new Apocalyptic difficulty setting, new challenges in the Ancient Lab, and brand new enemies to fight, like high-rank Wizzrobes, Giant Chuchus, and more!
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC Wave 1: Pulse of the Ancients launches on June 18th only on the Nintendo eShop! You can pre-order the Expansion Pass for $19.99 right now and get a bonus weapon and armor set for Link.
