Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity briefly appeared in today’s Nintendo Direct! The Muso spin on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is getting a new addition, thanks to the nature of the genre, in the form of an Expansion Pass.

Purchase Bonus (Available May 28th, 2021)

  • Newly added weapon for Link
  • Newly added costume for Link

Wave 1 (Available June 2021)

  • Expanded roster
  • Newly added weapon types
  • New challenges in the Royal Ancient Lab
  • Newly added challenging enemies

Wave 2 (Available November 2021)

  • New character vignettes
  • Newly added stages
  • Expanded roster
  • New battle skills for existing characters

Price: $19.99 USD

Other than a few snippets and a general overview of the Expansion Pass, there are a few hints in 43-second spot. Robbie and Purah will no doubt be part of the “expanded roster” and we may have seen some sketches of the weapons they’ll ultimately wield (or have developed for Link).

Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long! The purchase bonus will be available on May 28th, which means we’ll have to see a more detailed announcement about the Expansion Pass and, hopefully, The Legend of Zelda’s 35th-anniversary celebration.
