It’s already been an unexpectedly busy week for Legend of Zelda news, and those part of the Nintendo Wire team are still reeling from the announcements of the beautiful Zelda and Loftwing amiibo, an adorable Korok Collection, and Nintendo Tokyo’s awesome range of new Skyward Sword HD merchandise. It doesn’t stop there, however, as images of a steelbook for Skyward Sword HD have now surfaced online via French website Nintend’Alerts.

The product has not yet been formally announced by Nintendo and distribution details are currently scarce, but it appears to be exclusive to Europe for the time being. French retailer Micromania has confirmed that the product will be a store exclusive, and while there is currently no mention of the steelbook in Micromania’s Skyward Sword HD listing, the retailer assures customers that the steelbook will be shipped free with the game even if it doesn’t appear in shoppers’ baskets.

Dutch retailer Game Mania is also offering the steelbook, as are German retailers Media Markt and Saturn, which may indicate that each European region will have its own specific retailers that will exclusively sell the steelbook.

While non-European listings have yet to be found, there is still a chance that the Skyward Sword HD steelbook will see a release in other regions. We’ll keep you informed as soon as more details soar in!
