If you’re a Mario Kart fan, you’re very much eating two cakes right now. Not only do we have Mario Kart World, Nintendo also just updated Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to version 4.0. This huge update adds support for Nintendo Switch 2 to allow for visual enhancements in both handheld and docked mode. Support for USB cameras has also been included, compatible with Online Play through GameChat and two to four player multiplayer. In addition, shorter load times between races and the option of five to eight player multiplayer on one Nintendo Switch 2 system also come with this update.

As great as this is so far, my favorite addition in this surprising update is the ability to run 96 races in Vs. Mode. This now makes a single session running through every track in the game possible. Absolutely BONKERS.
You can see the patch notes for version 4.0 included below.
