Matthew is an experienced writer, avid heavy metal fan, proud cat dad and gamer based in Evansville, Indiana.

Since graduating high school in 2012, Matthew has pursued the creative fronts of talking about his passions. He wrote for various online alternative and metal music publications from 2013 to 2020, gaining a reputation as a music enthusiast.

Matthew also fondly recalls receiving a Nintendo GameCube with Metroid Prime in Christmas 2004 and how it had transformed him from a primarily Sony PlayStation gamer into a massive Nintendo fan. It was the weekend rental of Mario Power Tennis that especially affirmed Matthew’s enjoyment of Nintendo’s brand of over-the-top fun and clever design.
