Nintendo of Europe has announced that it will begin phasing out the original Nintendo Switch early next year. Starting mid-February 2027, Nintendo will no longer be selling the console to retailers. This includes the original system, the Nintendo Switch Lite, and the OLED model.
The Switch 1 family of systems will also no longer be sold on the European Nintendo Store. Nintendo Switch Online and other online services, however, “will all continue for the foreseeable future.”
There is currently no word on the console ceasing production in other regions.
Rhythm Heaven Groove, which launched last week, could possibly be the final first-party title for the original Nintendo Switch. A demo is available now on the Nintendo eShop.

The discontinuation will begin just weeks ahead of the Nintendo Switch’s 10th anniversary, with the system having launched worldwide on March 3rd, 2017.
