In an incredibly short announcement during today’s Indie World Showcase, Mossmouth announced that the critically acclaimed UFO 50 is available on Nintendo Switch today. Going for $24.99 on the eShop (with a physical version coming soon), UFO 50 is a collection of retro-inspired games with contributions from the developers of Spelunky, Downwell, and Catacomb Kids. A riff on the infamous Action 52 cartridge for the NES, UFO 50 is actually 50 entire games rather than just variations of the same garbage to fill out a ROM.

There’s really too many games to list in this article, but the entire premise of this compilation is that UFO 50 was a long lost game from the ’80s by a studio called UFO Soft. Players will embark on discovering the history of the company while playing through a treasure trove of its titles, which includes many standalone games, multiplayer titles, and even full-on sequels. Not every game is a full 10 hours or anything, but there is a substantial amount of content here.
