Following the MAR10 Day announcements, we finally got the official release dates for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. That was the first news about these two titles since they were first announced all the way back in 2023. Needless to say, fans looking forward to one or both of these have been itching to hear about them for a while now. As of today there is even more news for Mario and Luigi’s latest escapades, as the official box arts for both have been revealed!

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD box art

Starting off by taking a look at Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, the box art is pretty faithful to the original. The scene is the same, aside from being stretched to fit the vertical case of the Nintendo Switch game box. The only other notable difference is that a door has been added for Luigi to cower behind, as in the original box art he was hiding behind the logo banner for the Nintendo 3DS.

The final game releases on June 27th, so keep your eyes peeled!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door box art

Following that comes Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which shares the exact same title as the original, interestingly enough. The box art, however, is entirely different from the GameCube version, featuring the theater scene displayed during battles in the original game. Meanwhile, the GameCube box art features the in-game map as the backdrop and a slightly different cast of characters. Have a look:

If you’re excited to relive one of Mario’s greatest adventures, or just experience it for the first time, it officially releases on May 23rd.
