Nintendo has a pretty decent track record of letting players sample one of their first party titles before the full version officially arrives. Back in September, Nintendo updated all Nintendo Switch store kiosks in Targets, GameStops and Best Buys nationwide to include a Super Mario Bros. Wonder demo. Most recently, a Mario Vs. Donkey Kong demo appeared digitally on the eShop just a few weeks before the full version.
It looks like we may have a Princess Peach: Showtime! demo to look forward to as well. Leaker Pyoro, who has a fantastic track record when it comes to knowing Nintendo’s plans, has tweeted out a response to their own September tweet regarding the game. Pyoro recently revealed details of February’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase that ended up being accurate. In today’s tweet Pyoro asks “Is there a trial version?” in response to “It’s finally Princess Peach showtime.” Both tweets are in Japanese text but can be translated to English, something Pyoro clearly planned around.

Princess Peach: Showtime! demo would be just in time for MAR10 Day
The timing of a Princess Peach: Showtime! demo dropping potentially this week makes sense. The game is just under three weeks away from releasing. Releasing a demo just under a month out before release lines up with Nintendo’s past demo release schedules. In addition, March 10th AKA Mario Day (stylized as MAR10) is this Sunday. Pyoro has also teased that info about the remakes of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 are potentially part of the festivities.
To make things even more interesting, Nintendo shared a nearly three minute video showcasing Mario through the years. The caption for the video stated that this video is only the beginning of the celebration for MAR10. It would make sense for Nintendo to have some surprises in store regarding their most well-known franchise. It sounds like Mario fans could have a lot to look forward to this week.
When does Princess Peach: Showtime! release?
Princess Peach: Showtime! is just around the corner with a March 22nd release date. Pre-orders are available now on the Nintendo eShop and through most major retailers where Nintendo Switch games are sold.
