As it happens with any February over the last few years, a Nintendo Direct has been heavily rumored over the least several weeks. Originally rumored by other leakers to be occurring this week on February 15th, there was no Nintendo Direct in sight as yesterday came and went. This morning, however, prominent Nintendo leaker Pyoro has declared that “NEXT WEEK” will be the “REBIRTH OF A PARTNER SHOWCASE” though they do also go on to say that they’re “not excited” when asked about the content of the showcase.

What is Pyoro’s track record?

Pyoro has a 100% track record in the past when it comes to Nintendo leaks and rumors, including several instances of games being added to Nintendo Switch Online. In the latter half of last year they also hinted at the remake of Another Code and later a trailer and demo for that remake, as well as Outer Wilds coming to Nintendo Switch, and F-ZERO 99.

What could this Partner Showcase contain?

It’s possible the rumored upcoming Partner Showcase will feature announcements of games that Microsoft stated would be going third-party yesterday in the Xbox Podcast, stated to be two “community driven” games and two “smaller games.” Widely believed to be Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Pentiment, and Hi-Fi Rush. Of course, we won’t know exactly what will be showcased at a Partner Showcase until it drops, hopefully next week.
