It’s 2024 and the Spirit Board events are still rolling in for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Announced last December, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was set to get four new Spirit Board events in celebration of the game’s fifth anniversary, and today the third new event has been announced.
New Paldean Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This third Spirit Board event is set to feature brand new Spirits from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, according to a tweet from the SmashBrosJP Twitter account.
For five days starting 2/8, new spirits from #PokemonScarletViolet, as well as from The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, will be visiting the #SmashBrosUltimate Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more snacks than usual. pic.twitter.com/yKMc61GOnV

The event itself will run for five days starting on February 9th, 2024.
Previous Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fifth anniversary Spirit Board events
Previously we’ve seen two other new Spirit Board events, with the first featuring Spirits from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, and Pikmin 4. The second round featured a more surprising variety of new Spirits, with Spirits from games like Hades, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and WBSC eBaseball: Power Pros. With this new round featuring only Spirits from one game, it’s almost impossible to guess what might be coming for the fourth and final new Spirit Board event.
