Looks like we glitched too close to the sun y’all – the common material duplication glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been scrubbed in the most recent Ver. 1.1.2 patch, meaning that easy Star Fragments and other rare materials are no longer easily replicable (presuming you update your game). That means if you want to continue exploiting the glitch, you should pause patches for the title until you have everything you need.

The patch addresses a couple other issues too, namely an audio bug where the music suddenly gets too loud and one involving the quest “Camera Work in the Depths” that makes it impossible to progress, along with a blanket “Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.” You can check out the short list of patch notes over at Nintendo’s support page
