Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards stands as a fan-favorite in the pink puffball’s 30-year legacy. With good reason too, particularly for its unique twist on Kirby’s Copy Ability. Now that it’s available via Switch Online for Expansion Pack subscribers, fans are flocking back to Pop Star, Ripple Star, and everywhere in between.

If you’ve been more absorbed in Kirby’s newer steps into the third dimension, there’s a little something for you too!

A new Present Code has been released for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. By entering CRYSTALSHARDS at Waddle Dee-Liveries, players will receive 150 Star Coins, two food items, and one Maxim Tomato.

Also shared was a special screenshot for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate themed to Kirby 64. Featuring Kirby and King Dedede together with Whispy Woods, it’s a reminder of the two rivals’ uneasy alliance to find the Crystal Shards for new friend Ribbon. The best bit though is Kirby holding a Fire Bar, standing in for the flaming sword that results from mixing the Burn and Cutter abilities.

You can play Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on your Nintendo Switch now via the N64 app, exclusive to Expansion Pack subscribers.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
