Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches in about two months, and after revealing a handful of areas over the past few weeks, Nintendo has released a bit more info on the mechanics of traversing the world. After going over the same areas previously revealed, they launch into enemy types, traversal, and more.

There are four kinds of enemy types in the game: Normal, Elite, Lucky, and Unique. Normal is self-explanatory, and Unique monsters return from the previous two games — powerful brutes with two names like “Territorial Rotbart” or “Immovable Gonzales” (real examples). Elites are stronger than Normal monsters, and Lucky monsters are of the same strength level as Normal monsters but drop more goodies upon defeat. You can see what type of monster you’re dealing with in the UI once you’ve locked on.

Fast travel in the game is still done with the help of landmarks, a series staple, which you can discover through exploration. As always, a couple are out of the way in hidden spots, so make sure to look through every nook and cranny. You can also learn field skills to help you traverse the terrain, whether by climbing vines or walking on tightrope — a logical extension of similar ideas from Xenoblade 2.

Xenoblade 3 releases July 29th. We’ll keep you up to date on any other news revealed before then.
