Monster Hunter Rise is still bringing weekly Event Quests, but truth be told the latest are a bit lacking. Yes, they’re “new”, but the encounters and rewards are not. There’s some special stuff on the way, like the next Capcom Collab and a Sonic the Hedgehog crossover, but I do believe Event Quest gear and goodies could be done for. That said, this week’s offering will manage to be something worth taking on.

Wind Serpent Ibushi is one of two boss-level threats in Rise’s storyline, though it’s only been huntable in Rampages or other more unique settings. With the new Event Quest, players can finally face off with Ibushi in a more standard hunt. So while it’s not a new monster (we’ll likely be waiting until Sunbreak for those) it still manages to grow Rise’s repertoire.
