It’s been over two years since Nintendo announced that a sequel was on the way for the wildly successful The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the wait has been — how do you say — unbearable. While Nintendo fans were graced to a new trailer showcasing some of the game’s new features and locations at E3 this year, we also learned that we have to wait until 2022 to sink our teeth into the new adventure. Most of us have no choice but to sit back, twiddle our thumbs, and wait for Nintendo to deliver the goods. But for a select few declared “enough is enough!” and made it themselves.

The game’s creator, Avatar Nick, didn’t just mod the original Breath of the Wild to add some new enemies and locations. That would be too easy! Instead, they painstakingly created the worlds from scratch in Unity and C#. Pretty legendary if I do say so myself. Make sure to check out the video above to see everything in action.
