It’s time once again for hunters to gather and learn about what’s coming next for Monster Hunter Rise. Capcom has announced that in just under a week the Monster Hunter Digital Event – May 2021 will air, bringing with it news on both Monster Hunter Stories 2 and the latest update for Rise.

Other than “several new monsters” and a new story ending, there’s no clue as to what’s coming next in Rise 3.0. We have some ideas as far as new monsters that could be added and collaborations we’d like to see, but those are all purely speculative. Whatever the case may be, Capcom’s also shared that players will need 1.4GB free on their Switch in order to download the update once it drops, likely within a day or two of the Digital Event broadcast.

A new Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin trailer was also shared alongside the announcement. Focusing on the game’s plot, it’s a reminder that this is more inline with a traditional RPG experience rather than that familiar Monster Hunter fair and an overview of what’s been shared already story-wise. More details on the game are sure to be shared during the stream as well.

The Monster Hunter Digital Event – May 2021 will air on May 26th at 7 a.m. PT.
