It’s that time again for a new, weekly Super Mario Bros. 35 Special Battle! theme, and yet, this week we’re getting even more Super Mario Bros. 35 news. First, though, let’s hop down a warp pipe to the most pressing issue.

From Thursday, February 18th, at 11 p.m. PT until Sunday, February 21st, at 10:59 p.m. PT, the Starting Splendor Battle will take place! This Special Battle! will give you 200 coins to start with, but set the countdown timer to 400. Plus, you’ll be limited to the following courses: 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 4-1, 4-2, 6-2, 6-3, and 7-2.

Will you sink towards the bottom or swim to claim the #1 spot? You’ll only have a few days to find out!

As for the previously announced World Count Challenge, Nintendo has announced when the second event will begin! Similar to the first one, this week-long event starts on Monday, February 22nd, at 11 p.m. PT and ends on Monday, March 1st, at 10:59 p.m. PT. As for the goal, it’s a doozy. Get ready to stomp some Goombas, as we’ll need to work together and crush 350 million of them to complete the challenge!

Even if you manage to knock out one Goomba during the event, you’ll get 350 Platinum Points. Hopefully, next week’s Special Battle! theme will be bursting with Goombas so we can crush that 350 million requirement!
