During Game Live Japan, Famitsu’s own event running alongside Tokyo Game Show, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity got a second showing from the developers at Koei Tecmo. Most notably they showed off gameplay for both the newly revealed Impa, gave us a first live look at Champion Daruk, and had Link briefly face off with (and parry a laser from) a Guardian.

The demonstration included new maps, new uses of Sheikah Slate runes for these two and Link, and what specific techniques Impa and Daruk bring to the game. This includes Impa’s ninja-like abilities and Daruk’s Protection, Magma based abilities, and Goron rolling.

Stay tuned for more gameplay and previews of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity as we come closer to its November 20th release.
