The Pokémon Company’s YouTube channel is no stranger to experimentation, whether it be releasing catchy Magikarp music videos or elaborate retro animations. This latest experiment is cornering a significant niche on YouTube – the ASMR video.

ASMR, or Autonomous sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that some people feel when hearing certain sounds, often inducing a sort of calming effect. Nintendo tried its hand at it back in December, and now The Pokémon Company has went with a beach theme and brought Squirtle along for some relaxing summer vibes.
 

 
We’ll just have to wait and see if any other ASMR videos are in the works…
