It’s hard to believe it’s been ten whole years since Xenoblade Chronicles first released on the Wii. Players in the North America wouldn’t get it for sometime after that, but from the passionate efforts of Operation Rainfall to its inclusion amongst Nintendo’s finest in Super Smash Bros. and the multiple sequels, it’s grown into an RPG flagship for Nintendo.

Monolith Soft’s efforts and dedication to their work shines through both in the ten year milestone and the beautiful piece of artwork above. Bringing Shulk, Elma, and Rex together in the foreground and with plenty more characters in the back, it’s a reminder of the hundreds of hours these stories bring to fans spread across just three games.

For anyone wanting to celebrate the Xenoblade 10 year anniversary, look no further than the recently released Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on Switch.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
