The original Sonic and Puyo Puyo games were great in their own ways, and that goes for their Sega Ages versions currently on the eShop too. Today, though, both of their sequels have arrived as examples of second efforts that did pretty much everything better and have become even more iconic. Tails is synonymous with the Sonic series, and Puyo Puyo didn’t sweep Japanese arcades ’til Tsu hard-dropped in.
Sega Ages Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Sega Ages Puyo Puyo 2 are both available today in the eShop, bringing their new features to the fold. For Sonic 2 that means native and Knuckles support, the return of Sonic Mania’s Drop Dash, and more. As for Puyo Puyo 2, you can now offset online and take on the new Endurance Mode to face off with every one between you and Satan.
