Upcoming Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Sword and Shield are out in the wild and have been datamined, revealing, among other information, that 126 different moves from past games have been cut from the titles.
Included in the list of 126 cut moves are 77 regular moves (like Return, Double Slap, and Hidden Power), plus the 36 Z-Moves, which were confirmed to not be returning in Sword and Shield, and the 13 special moves Partner Pikachu and Eevee can learn in the Pokémon: Let’s Go games.
According to Twitter user @Kaphonics, who is in contact with a dataminer, players that transfer a Pokémon with a removed move in Sword and Shield will receive the following message: “This move can’t be used. It’s recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can’t be remembered.”
