If you’re like me, then the Sonic Adventure soundtracks feature some of your favorite video game tunes of all-time. Well, you’re in luck, because Tee Lopes, the composer of the Sonic Mania soundtrack, released a remix of Sonic Adventure’s “Welcome To Station Square.” The remix is an upbeat reimagining of the song from Sonic Adventure’s hub world, and it also features Jun Senoue from Crush 40, the band behind the most iconic era of 3D Sonic music.

This isn’t all we’ll see from Tee Lopes in the coming days. The Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account announced that Lopes will release four Sonic remixes in total, with just the first dropping today.

While we don’t know what games the next three remixes will pull from, some fans are theorizing that this is more than just a simple remix, and may point to a remake of Sonic Adventure. It’s far too early to make that claim, but if the next three remixes also pull from the Adventure games, that theory may become more credible. There have been rumblings of a remake before, with Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka even saying he’d like to remake Sonic Adventure. If a remake is in the cards, it won’t be for a while, because the next big year for Sonic is slated to be 2021.

Setting crazy fan theories aside, for now we should all just enjoy this awesome remix of the Station Square theme!
