Nintendo of America, why hast thou forsaken us!

It seems like as of late, Nintendo of America has dropped the ball in terms of their limited edition offerings. While Nintendo fans in the UK are getting fancy steelbooks for games like Super Mario Maker 2, Link’s Awakening, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and even a fancy golden steelbook for Pokémon Sword and Shield when you purchase a two-pack, those of us in North America seem to be left out in the cold — steelbook-less and longing.

Well, folks, to add insult to injury, the good folks at the UK retailer ShopTo have just announced that another batch of steelbooks are on the way for customers purchasing Pokémon Sword or Shield. This time, you don’t even have to buy the expensive two-pack to get in on the action! Each steelbook features artwork from their respective title, and while they’re not gold, they still should make an excellent addition to any Pokémon fan’s collection.

Once again, this promotion is limited to customers purchasing the titles in the UK, so unless you want to spend some extra dough on importing, Americans and Canadians are out of luck. If you do happen to be in the UK (congrats), you can find pre-order links at ShoptTo.
