Nintendo has been pushing a specific aspect of the Nintendo Switch for a while now – the personal nature of the device. Whether you play it at home on the big screen, on the bus, or over 41,000 feet in the air. These latest “Nintendo Switch My Way” ads push that angle even further, though there’s one specific game that makes a surprise appearance…
 

 
That’s right, Final Fantasy VII. We’ve known the classic PS1 RPG has been coming since the September 2018 Nintendo Direct, alongside a bunch of other Final Fantasy announcements, but this is the first time we’ve seen the Switch version since.

Sadly there’s no release date confirmation, just a “coming soon” notice, but we have to imagine it’ll be dropping soon. Unlike Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, which have been dated for April, it’s more than likely the older games will see digital-only releases that can appear on the eShop at any time.
