If you watched today’s Nindies Summer Showcase, you might have noticed a freshly dug hole where Shovel Knight should have been. While the franchise was sadly absent, Yacht Club Games did give IGN the honor of announcing Shovel Knight Showdown – an upcoming, multiplayer title coming to the Switch and Wii U in the near future.
While Showdown looks amazing, we were saddened to see that no information on the upcoming expansion Shovel Knight: King of Cards or the Treasure Trove amiibo 3-pack were to be found. To quell any questions from fans, Yacht Club Games did tweet out an update about the two, confirming a release date is incoming later this week!
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about King of Cards or the Treasure Trove amiibo 3-pack! We’re nearing the end of development on what is by far our biggest and most grandest singleplayer campaign yet!

Luckily we won’t have to wait too long for an actual release date, rather than a placeholder. We’ll continue to monitor Yacht Club’s social media throughout the week and report on any further announcements.
