At the start of next year Switch owners will be able to embark on a new journey in the spiritual follow-up to I am Setsuna; Lost Sphear. While we’ve already had two trailers for the game, Square Enix UK has put out a brand-new one and it’s a bit less melancholy in comparison. Check it out:

One of the more immediately apparent differences is the fact the soundtrack isn’t just a piano score – we have some string instruments too. Square Enix also gives a brief summary of the game in the accompanying description:

From the studio behind I Am Setsuna comes an adventure in a new world where an ominous power threatens the fabric of reality itself. Experience a reimagined turnbased battle system and harness the mighty Vulcosuit armors to turn the tide of battle in this JPRG! Follow Kanata and his friends: Lumina, Lock, Van, Sherra and Obaro as they set out to restore the Lost with the power of Memory!

We’re sure to see even more of Lost Sphear as we approach the game’s January 23rd release date in North America and Europe.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
