FIRE EMBLEM ECHOES DETAILS EVEN MORE AMIIBO FUNCTIONALITY

Nintendo UK shared a new image showcasing the Illusory Hero feature for Fire Emblem Echoes. Tapping any of the previously released Fire Emblem amiibo will summon a ghostly visage of the respective amiibo, acting as a temporary ally for a single turn.

SPLATOON 2 OVER MOBILE HOTSPOT RUNS LIKE A DREAM

Squid kids on the go will be excited to learn that Splatoon 2 is an incredibly smooth experience when played over mobile hotspots. In fact, a 20 minute session of frantic Splatoon 2 warfare only uses around 46MB of data, meaning anyone with a strong LTE connection and decent data plan can ink up the competition from anywhere in the world without breaking the bank.

7,651 POKÉMON SUN & MOON PLAYERS TAKE “BEING THE VERY BEST” A LITTLE TOO FAR

Thousands of Trainers were banned from online play in Pokémon Sun & Moon for having profiles with illegal, altered save data. Seriously, let’s keep the competition fair, huh guys?

SNAKE PASS RETHINKS PLATFORMING CONVENTIONS

SUPER MEAT BOY FOREVER SWITCH PORT A POSSIBILITY

Team Meat dropped a morsel of hope for fans wondering if Super Meat Boy would ever make the leap to Nintendo Switch. While there are no plans to port the original over, the highly anticipated followup, Super Meat Boy Forever, may be in the cards.

CLEVER REDDITOR CREATES THE FIRST EVER NINTENDO SWITCH-DEE-FOUR

Retro enthusiasts will no doubt get a kick out of this one: Reddit user tettzan777 modded an old Nintendo 64 console to house the Switch’s dock. Here’s hoping a Super Nintendo model is in the works.

PLAYTONIC WORKING DILIGENTLY TO GET YOOKA-LAYLEE ON SWITCH ASAP

Missing its launch window alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic Games assured fans of late ‘90s platformers that it’s working directly with Nintendo to get a Switch version shipped out as soon as possible.

ROCKET LEAGUE BEING EVALUATED FOR POSSIBLE SWITCH RELEASE

Good news, fans of aerial automotive soccer hybrids: Rocket League is being considered by developer Psyonix for release on the Switch! Just be sure to keep your hopes in check for now, as nothing’s been definitively confirmed until both community demand and technical limitations of the system have been thoroughly assessed.

LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER WILL NOT REQUIRE A MANDATORY INSTALL

There’s been a lot of misinformation spreading around the web regarding Lego City Undercover’s ‘supposed’ mandatory 13GB install for both physical and digital copies of the game. Warner Bros. issued a statement today clearing the air of confusion, declaring players who purchase at retail will not need to download additional data to play.

DISGAEA 5 COMPLETE OFFICIAL WEBSITE LAUNCHES

FIRE EMBLEM HEROES GETS WEIRD FOR EASTER

The official Japanese Fire Emblem Heroes Twitter page teased exclusive Easter content hopping toward the mobile title. Several silhouettes can be spotted donning rabbit ears, leading series fans in a frenzy of speculation as to what’s in store for their merry band of pocket heroes come this Thursday.

NINTENDO SWITCH STABLE AS A TABLE THANKS TO LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE

New firmware for the Nintendo Switch dropped late last night, beefing up the system’s overall stability. While it’s never 100% clear what these stability improvements actually mean, I can always count on the overflow of memes on the matter to brighten up my day.
