While Japan might getting its Blaster Master fix first, North Americans fortunately won’t have to wait much longer as the hotly anticipated sequel to Sunsoft’s beloved NES run and gun platformer is hitting the eShop on March 9th!
Developed by Inti Creates, the masterminds behind the Mega Man Zero inspired Azure Striker Gunvolt series, players once again man the series’ trademark Sophia III tank in both 2D side scrolling and top-down, bird’s-eye view fashion. Most notably, the game hearkens back to the golden age of the NES with improved gameplay elements, new areas and bosses, extra sub-weapons and more refined exploration mechanics.
Originally announced for 3DS back in November, look forward to playing this lovingly crafted reboot exclusively on both Nintendo Switch and 3DS systems come next week.
