Likely in a bid to promote the upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Nintendo has uploaded the full 99 track OST for Wii Sports Resort to Nintendo Music. While a rather accomplished sequel all things considered, it never seemed to catch on quite like the original Wii Sports. Some of that was likely down to it being a separate, paid release rather than a pack-in, though some later Wii bundles did include both Wii Sports games together (including the awesome Black Wii).
Even still, the soundtrack is quite good, and now you can listen to it without having to dig out your old Wii. I’m not sure if Switch Sports Resort will retain any of these tracks, but seeing as how it is still set on Wuhu Island, there are bound to be remixes. It would certainly be nice to be reminded of old times while experiencing some new sports, including the ridiculous “Thumb Wrestling” mode that took up a substantial chunk of the last Nintendo Direct. I’m not sure why this needs to be a Switch 2 exclusive, but I dig the enthusiasm.
Next stop this summer: a relaxing stay at Wii Sports Resort!

Anyway, that’s enough musing from me. If you have a Switch Online subscription, you can now listen to tracks such as “Table Tennis: Replay (Point) 2,” and “Power Cruising: Opening Theme.” Nintendo Music was also recently updated to work in browsers, so you can even put it on at work and annoy your coworkers.
