High-end collectible manufacturer First 4 Figures has released an in-depth video comparing the standard and special editions of its upcoming Metroid Prime statue.

Revealed in a teaser last week, the nine-inch-tall Metroid PVC is a detailed figure of the titular alien parasite from Nintendo’s sci-fi series. A new showcase from First 4 Figures demonstrates the features of both the Standard and Exclusive Editions.

The statue is based specifically on the Tallon Metroid, the main subspecies encountered in the first two Metroid Prime games. The base is inspired by the Phazon Mines area from Prime 1.

The Standard Edition statue features glow-in-the-dark effects, with the Metroid’s green membrane, the red dots within the nuclei, and the mushrooms and surface on the base illuminating when the lights are off. On top of everything the regular version offers, the Exclusive Edition has additional LED functions, lighting up the Metroid’s membrane and nuclei as well as the energy burst on the base. Users can switch between static and animated LED modes. It also includes limited-edition numbering on the base, a charging cable, and an authentication card, all housed in a premium collector’s box.

The weight and dimensions of the statue (including the base) are as follows:

  • Height: 8.27 inches / 21 cm
  • Width: 7.28 inches / 18.5 cm
  • Depth: 7.28 inches / 18.5 cm
  • Weight: 0.95 kg

Pre-orders for the Metroid Prime – Metroid PVC Exclusive Edition are open now, with an estimated shipping release window of Q1 2027. It is priced at $114.99, though users can register their email to get $10 off for a limited time. There does not yet appear to be a product listing or pricing details for the Standard Edition.
