Despite having already released Jurassic World Evolution 3 last year (though not on Nintendo Switch 2), developer Frontier Developments has announced that it will be porting 2021’s Jurassic World Evolution 2 to the Switch 2 in the near future. Coming as a “Complete Edition,” and set for release on July 30, 2026, it bundles all the previously released DLC along with the main game for Nintendo users. The game never released on the original Switch, so coming five years late is better than never.

Evolution 2: CE will be available for £49.99/ $59.99 / €59.99 via the eShop with no plans for a physical edition. It reportedly does not feature mouse mode, either, which seems like a huge missed opportunity. For that matter, no trailer was uploaded to showcase any gameplay running on Switch 2, so we don’t even know if it performs well. The first game on Switch ran fine enough, so this should be in a better shape overall.

A press release from Frontier Developments describes the game as such:

In Jurassic World Evolution 2: Complete Edition, Park Managers find themselves outside the confines of the Muertes Islands for the very first time. With a captivating narrative, Campaign mode puts players at the heart of the action following the earth-shattering events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as they join returning characters such as Claire Dearing and Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum) tackling pivotal moments from the first five films. Park Managers will discover dinosaurs brought to life with stunning realism across a host of distinctive environments, ranging from dense forests and rocky deserts to sun-drenched tropics, each offering its own unique set of conditions, terrain and environmental calamities to contend with.

Plus, players can change the course of events and experience Jurassic World like never before in Chaos Theory mode or unleash their creativity in an open-ended Sandbox mode.
