A new set of Joy-Con 2, featuring new colors, has been revealed by Nintendo.

Announced during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, the Blue and Light Yellow controllers are inspired by Splatoon characters Shiver and Frye. The duo are members of Splatoon 3’s idol band Deep Cut, and are set to return – alongside fellow bandmate Big Man – in the upcoming single-player spin-off Splatoon Raiders.

Blue and Yellow Joy-Con 2 release date

The new Joy-Con 2 will launch on the same day as Splatoon Raiders, on July 23rd. A Nintendo Direct dedicated to the game will broadcast on June 30th, which is expected to showcase Raiders extensively ahead of its release next month.

Expanding the range of Joy-Con 2 color options, the new controllers will join the previous Light Purple and Light Green set which launched in February, coinciding with the release of Mario Tennis Fever.
