There may’ve been some rumors regarding Gamescom Opening Night, and it’s been spotted at the show itself, but honestly this time… the Siksong is real! Team Cherry has announced that a Hollow Knight: Silksong Special Announcement will go live on August 21st at 7:30 a.m. PT.

The road to this has been a long one. Originally an expansion for the beloved original, Silksong grew in scope to become a game all its own, and one that fans have been craving for years and years now. Playable at an E3 long ago, it left a strong impression then.

Will absence make our hearts grow fonder for this one? I mean, hell yeah, this is one of the most anticipated games in recent memory. While you wait just a bit longer for that sweet, sweet news, take some time to read our review of the original to see why we can’t wait for this Silksong Special Announcement.
