Welcome to 2025, everyone! While we eagerly await Nintendo to announce anything about the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, it seems vendors at CES in Las Vegas didn’t get the memo that the console hasn’t officially been unveiled yet.

Now, before we dive into the details, remember that the images and information you’re about to see are mock-ups. However, some case manufacturers claim to have the exact dimensions of the unit to prepare accessories for launch. One manufacturer in particular, Genki, claims their console mold was created using an authentic Nintendo Switch 2. We’ll leave that up to you to decide.

While we believe this design is very likely the real deal, nothing is official until Daddy Nintendo confirms it. So, with that in mind, let’s take a closer look!

Thanks to reporting from French language news publication Numerama, we can see several 3D-printed mock-ups of what appears to be the Nintendo Switch 2 displayed at the Genki accessory booth at CES. These mock-ups even simulate how the device might attach to and detach from the base unit, featuring a release switch on the back to disconnect the magnetic controller from the tablet.

The video above also highlights a remarkably detailed rendering of the next-generation Joy-Con. The mock-up incorporates many features rumored in recent leaks, such as orange and blue accents around the sticks and edges, what appears to be an optical sensor, and larger triggers.

And, lastly, according to reporting from Numerama, several case manufacturers are claiming that the console will be released in April of this year.

Once again, nothing is official until Nintendo confirms it. Still, it feels like leakers have stolen much of Nintendo’s thunder regarding the console’s design. Here’s hoping Nintendo has an incredible software lineup to showoff to compensate.
