We’re just days away from the release of Sora, the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo. It’s a bittersweet moment for me. On one hand, I’m excited to complete the collection, but on the other, I can’t help but wonder what lies ahead for amiibo after Sora. Nintendo seems to be gearing up for Sora’s launch, as the latest update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has just been released, featuring support for the Sora amiibo.

Latest update: Ver. 13.0.2 (Released February 14, 2024)

Updates for compatibility with the Sora amiibo, which is scheduled to be released soon.

The Sora amiibo is the final amiibo to be released in the Super Smash Bros. amiibo line.

If you were hoping for something more, I’ve got bad news for you. It appears the latest update simply adds support for the amiibo, and that’s it! But, if you’re still hoping to get your hands on Sora this Friday, make sure to follow Amiibo News on Twitter for in-stock alerts. We expect him to be available at multiple retailers throughout the day! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, if you’re bored and want to listen to grown man complain about an amiibo box, make sure to check out our feature on the Sora amiibo and how it breaks box art tradition.
