Fans of the competitive Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe scenes can rejoice this morning as they wake up to good news, as the previously postponed Splatoon 3 World Championship and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship have been rescheduled and will take place in Japan on April 13th and 14th.
The #Splatoon3 World Championship 2024 and #MarioKart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024, originally planned for Nintendo Live 2024 TOKYO, are now planned to take place in Japan 13/04 – 14/04.

Why were the Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship rescheduled?
Both the Splatoon 3 World Championship and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship were scheduled to take place last month on January 20th and 21st at Nintendo Live 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, but the Nintendo Live event was canceled due, in part, to “persistent threats targeting [Nintendo’s] employees.”
