Instruction booklets being included with physical game releases are a thing of the distant past these days, but it appears that Nintendo of Japan is going all-out for the release of the Super Mario RPG remake. Game retailers and department stores in Japan will have a physical instruction manual for Super Mario RPG, created to mimic the original manual released with the SNES version Super Mario RPG released in 1996.

Game Watch was able to obtain a manual and has pictures of the front and back, and it states that the manual introduces players to the characters that will become party-members, as well as info on treasure chests, bosses, the battle system, and minigames.

At present, Super Mario RPG’ instruction manual is only confirmed to be released in Japan, but if any info comes along that indicates it will release elsewhere, we’ll let you know!
