With talk ramping up for the Nintendo Switch’s successor it might be hard to believe the Nintendo 3DS is still getting new games, yet here we are. Long after the closure of the eShop, and coming up on the cessation of online functionality next year, Vblank has confirmed that Shakedown Hawaii will be getting a physical release next week.

The game, which is the sequel to the early eShop stalwart Retro City Rampage, is inspired by classic Grand Theft Auto titles but this physical release represents a devotion to the Nintendo 3DS console itself. It’s not just the game, though, as it’ll also include a manual while a new action figure will be released with the Collector’s Edition!

This is just the latest in a line of late physical releases for the hardware, from 2020’s Atooi Collection to last year’s Fragrant Story.

Orders for the physical 3DS version of Shakedown Hawaii will open on Monday, November 6th, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. UK exclusively via RobaRoba.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
