Pokémon Scarlet & Violet aren’t exactly known for being polished, glitch-free games, but this is a new one – the just-released ver. 2.0.1 update can crash your game during the final boss battle. Spoilers ahead, naturally.
In the final fight against the Paradise Protection Protocol, you at one point have to pull out the Legendary Pokémon you’ve been traveling with all game – Koraidon in Scarlet, Miraidon in Violet. However, if the Pokémon in question is registered to your Pokédex, and your cursor hovers over the fourth, fifth, or sixth slot in your party, the game crashes.
In SV 2.0.1, the game can crash when battling the Paradise Protection Protocol.
How to replicate:
• Have Koraidon (S) or Miraidon (V) registered to the Pokédex
• Hover over slot 4, 5, or 6Having a party of 1-3 works, as does pressing up to reach the legendary slot. pic.twitter.com/xAdemaWAFn

There are two simple workarounds – one is to only have three or less Pokémon in your party for the fight, the other is to simply click up to go straight to your Legendary without cursoring over the danger zone. While straightforward to get around, we expect a patch will be out posthaste to address it, since it’s a critical issue. Stay tuned for updates.
