Get ready, Kirby fans, as one of the pink puffballs most out-there adventures is heading to Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion Pack next week.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror was an unconventional platformer compared to the rest of the series when it launched for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004. The most marketed aspect was the co-operative play between four colored Kirbys, where you can use a delightfully 2000’s cellphone to call up the other players (or their CPU controlled counterparts). Thanks to Nintendo Switch Online’s online multiplayer support this feature will be easier than ever.

The other major gameplay shift is that the game is effectively a Metroidvania, letting you traverse the world in any order you like so long as you have the correct power-up.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror will drop for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers next week on September 29th.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
