Another Code: Two Memories (known as Trace Memory in North America) was a 2005 DS title and point and click adventure that utilized the budding DS’s touchscreen technology to tell an evocative narrative. While little known outside of minute cameos in Super Smash Bros., the title and its even more obscure sequel Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories are being fully remade for the Switch in Another Code: Recollection.

You’ll play as Ashley, a girl in pursuit of her long lost father whom she believed had passed away. While exploring the lonesome Blood Edward Island, you’ll solve puzzles to clear obstacles and move forward, meeting a mysterious ghostly boy and unraveling secrets and memories. The visuals are completely redone and voice acting is being added, making it a true remake rather than a simple port or remaster. A Journey into Lost Memories was previously unreleased for North America (on the Wii no less), so it’s particularly nice to see it included.

Another Code: Recollection launches January 19th, 2024.
