Trailing the end of August’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s Direct was the announcement of a sleek new Nintendo Switch OLED fittingly titled the Mario Red Edition — and wow, is it ever red. The system features the Joy-Con, dock, and the console all decked out in the “iconic Mario Red” color. And even more appropriate for the occasion, a silhouette of Mario jumping is printed on the back of the dock — a darling little detail for Mario fans, young and old.
The Mario Red Nintendo Switch OLED is priced at $349.99 and is set to release on October 6th, 2023, just a few weeks before Super Mario Bros. Wonder hits the shelves on October 20th. The OLED is already up for pre-order over at Nintendo’s online store so make sure to head over there if you want to nab yourself the system for launch!
