Before the advent of touch screen smartphones gaming was much different in the mobile space, with number pads and rudimentary directional buttons making for some rather unique experiences, especially in Japan. Unfortunately many of these games have been lost to time, but publisher G-MODE has been going above and beyond in Japan lately when it comes to game preservation, giving many classic titles another shot at life.

The company’s next port is tied to a rather big franchise, too – Persona: Ikuu no Tou Hen. Featuring various characters from the original Revelations: Persona, the game is a first-person dungeon crawler with the turn-based combat of its console counterpart.

The game will release in Japanese via the Nintendo Switch eShop and Steam at an unspecified date. It’s unlikely to receive a localization, but for Shin Megami Tensei die-hards it might be worth toughing out the language barrier!
